The CUNY Academic Commons blog is a place to display alumni, student and faculty activities, display events happening in the department, and share links to fellowship and employment opportunities.
Last winter, I conducted a training workshop on developing CUNY Academic Commons websites and research focused blogs using WordPress. Here is an example of a research blog created by a student during the workshop.
Our Twitter feed broadcasts events, upcoming talks and colloquium, student activities and awards, and relevant research related materials.
Our Facebook page is a place to rebroadcast information from our blog and Twitter as well as a place for the entire research community to communicate.
Youtube and Vimeo display videos of talks and events from within the department and also videos of faculty and student activities outside of the department.
